Liberia
Okay.. this is one of my personal favorites. This video is completely from scratch. In May 2005 I flew to Liberia via Germany, Belgium and Senegal which was something like 20 hours of flying. I probably should have had a blog at that point as that could have been endless pages. But I won't do that now.. I'll let the video do the talking at this point in time as it is exactly six months later. The video was shot around the Monrovia area on Mini DV using the JVC GY-300 I use for almost everything I've shot for the Army. The audio was recorded at a church service in Monrovia also on the JVC using the on board mic... pretty basic but when you are a one man crew you sometimes have to improvise as you go along... although if I do interviews I try to use a lav or boom mic. The editing was on Premiere Pro 1.5
A quick background.. Liberia is a country in west Africa that is a mess after 14 years of civil unrest... they type of African unrest you see on CNN .... but things were calm when I was there and are still calm at the moment.
So here it is...
